Had an amazing dinner at Young Joni on a Wednesday night. Get there early, we didn’t have reservations and got seated after about a 20 minute wait. When people were coming in to see how long the wait was, it was up to 2 hours. The drinks were also very good, I’d recommend getting the spritz! We tried two pizzas and two sides and they were all above expectations! The cauliflower side was so good as was the smashed parsnips. We also tried the Korean BBQ pizza and the Spicy Kale. Both pizzas were amazing! We ended our dinner with the Church Basement Cookie and Bar Plate and the dessert bars were so good. Highly recommend getting a reservation for this place and buy a ticket for the Photo Booth!

I've been a long time patron of Young Joni, and the Back Bar specifically is my all time favorite bar in the Twin Cities. Naturally, it seemed like a perfect choice to host the reception for me and my wife's wedding, and after doing so, we could not have asked for a better experience. Stephen, the special events and FOH manager, was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was so helpful in the planning, communication, and execution of our reception on the day-of. The staff at our reception were awesome, and helped us create such a memorable experience. The drinks were stunningly crafted (of course), and the food was perfect. Our guests came away telling us that it was by far the best wedding reception they'd ever been to. We are SO HAPPY with our experience, and we highly recommend the Young Joni Back Bar as a wedding venue!

Beautiful restaurant with amazing food. I started off with some drinks- martini and a spritz. Both were amazing with great flavors. We then had their Korean BBQ pizza and their Korean sweet potato. Both were oozing with great flavors. We got real lucky with being able to be seated with no reservation. Good to know for next time that we need to make reservations.

Came here on a Thursday at 4 pm since there were no other reservations available. Good: - The Korean bbq pizza was amazing! I loved how it was asian fusion and that it was super savory - surprisingly a lot of veggies on it too - The chili shrimp was also super good, and I liked how it was unique and tasted really fresh - I liked the short ribs and the sweet potato as well - super crispy and unique and both had a twist on the usual recipe - The ambiance here is more upscale and fancy Bad: - Food was great, just nothing too crazy about the experience which is why it's a 4 and not a 5! Overall this was a really nice place to go to and the food was stellar!

This is a good place to grab a bite, hangout with friends and have some food. They have good pizzas, and lots of drink options. Unfortunately, the pizza I tried and the drink I was suggested both were not good. Though the ambiance was really nice with lots of good crowd. They charge extra 21% on Menu priced items which I think is very unfair to the customers. Whatever may be the reason, such extra charges over menu priced items is unfair. By the way, this is not a tip! Tip is extra above this 21%. Overall its a good place and has a nice ambiance. Due to the extra charges the prices here are high compared to the similar such places. The only food they had in the menu is Pizza.

Brunch, dinner & wine in a design studio's chic, glass-walled rooftop area with trees & chandeliers.
My first here, and I love this place. I will come back here for sure. The top floor is where the restaurant and the rest of the floors are the showroom for furniture and other items RH is selling. The food is great. I had the baked chicken, very tender. My friends had the lobster Roll not much choices with desserts. Great selections of wines.

Went to RH rooftop for a birthday celebration. It has an incredible restaurant space. The chandeliers, greenery, furniture and greenhouse like windows make this space fun to dine in. Service is good too with very friendly and attentive waitstaff. Food is a bit pricey for what you get but is tasty. Tried a couple of their cheese platters and lobster roll. My one wish is that a side would come with the main entree without an extra cost. The lobster roll I recall being $32-35 and was tasty but felt like it was missing a side even with the high price point. A side of fries is $10… and while they give you plenty seems a bit costly for fries alone. I’d recommend to come for a special occasion, bring friends to share the extra side dishes to accompany the entree.

The atmosphere is stunning; perfect spot for a date night and many photo ops, especially around sunset. The food is average but the wine selection is superb. We had the lobster roll, fries, half chicken and two rose variations.

RH Rooftop has amazing ambience. A great place to take friends visiting out of town or to enjoy a family meal on the weekends. The menu is bit pricy but the place really looks amazing. The food is beautifully plated and they all taste great.

Luxury atmosphere if you want to take fancy photos. Nice view to the city. The restaurant itself is on the 3rd floor. The food was decent, but not up to the prices.

Convivial, contemporary locale preparing eclectic New American dinners & craft cocktails.
Best meal we had in the 4 days we spent in the Twin Cities. The menu is small, but we’ll designed and expertly prepared. The servers are easy to find and just pop by to see if you need anything, but the don’t feel intrusive at all. If we had another free evening, we would have gone back again.

Stopped here late on a Saturday evening for drinks with a girlfriend and had attentive service! We chose patio seating since it was the end of the summer season and you never know if you’ll get good service when you sit outside farther away from the other patrons but we had no issues. Tried the Espresso Martini and was pleasantly surprised. A sweeter version and not creamy - still enjoyed it! Didn’t try any bites, but will be back to check out the happy hour and food!

Can attest, great spot for a solo diner. Arrived on a Friday evening with no reservation and they made sure I knew I was welcome to a table and was not expected to sit at the bar, but I was glad I did. The bartender was fantastic and made me a delicious hand-crafted n/a cocktail. Happy hour also great. Excellent tacos and pulled pork fries. The tacos were perfectly spicy (more than less if you're sensitive). The fries were very simple, but the pork was perfection. I look forward to getting the sliders next time. For those not familiar with the area, plan to parallel park and pay a meter if you want to park close. Will absolutely go again.

Fantastic cocktails, in particular the old fashioned, and very good burger and fries. The brussel sprouts we found to be a bit overly sweet.

Everything from start to finish was wonderful. I had made an error on tock and only put two guests on the reservation. They were able to accommodate. Our server was the sweetest and all of us were super pleased with the service and food. We ended up each ordering a the non-alcoholic beverages, chicken nuggs for starters. The waygu burger and fries were delicious, I ended up bringing my fries home and reheating them in my air fryer and they were still so good. We ended the evening with dessert or pecan pie. This place has cool vibes and aesthetic, would totally go back.

Spacious upscale eatery offers eclectic American fare & drinks amid sports TV & news-themed decor.
All around great place. Servers seem happy to be there, food was perfect and drinks are great... They even shake and pour martinis table side so they're ice cold and full to the top! My fiance eats burgers EVERYWHERE and said this one was the best he's had in the US! Home fries were crispy and not oily at all. I had the Cobb salad, which really was fantastic. Tons of every topping so you're not just left with lettuce for half of it. We're so in love with the place we plan to host our rehearsal dinner here in their event space! Two thumbs up! A must visit

I will start by saying I love the uniqueness of the restaurant concept, and enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was average for me. I did enjoy the croquettes as they were perfectly fried and presented beautifully. I’d come back to try some other menu items in the future, just wasn’t blown away by my entire meal.

If you're looking for a fantastic restaurant in downtown Minneapolis, then The News Room is definitely worth checking out. With both valet parking and a nearby parking garage, it's easy to get there and find a spot to park. Upon entering, you'll notice that the restaurant is impeccably clean, and the unique interior adds to the overall ambiance. Despite the spacious room, the noise level is impressively low due to the high ceilings. The service is excellent, with attentive staff always willing to answer any questions or concerns. The menu boasts a wide variety of options, ensuring there is something for everyone. The food - it's absolutely delicious. While the presentation may be typical, the flavors are anything but. And if you're looking for a good drink, the bar won't disappoint either. What's even better is that the prices are very reasonable, typically ranging from $15-20 per dish. And on top of that, the portion sizes are quite generous. Overall, The News Room is an excellent restaurant that's well worth a visit. With its fantastic food, attentive service, and reasonable prices, it's sure to leave you impressed.

Visiting from out of town and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our late dinner here! Fantastic drinks, appetizer, and entree. Our server was a bit busy so the manager was making sure we were taken care of. This place is a gem!

Easily one of the coolest bars I have ever been to. We stopped in for a quick drink and we’re immediately impressed with the decorations in the space. The entire bar is a giant ship! They also have headline news articles spread throughout the restaurant and each room is separated into categories of news stories. Our bartender was also incredibly nice and made some perfect cocktails.

Low-key bar with craft beers on tap plus pub grub such as fried fare & sandwiches.
Drove up with family for a hockey tourney and wanted to try some local restaurants and so glad we chose this place! It was so yummy. Loved the batter snap peas and Curry chicken salad sandwich. Would definitely recommend trying anything on the menu. Our kids had the burger with fries and mac n cheese and both loved their food. Husband had the steak sandwich which he also loved. Happy we were able to stop in and enjoy this restaurant.

You'd think you were in a pub in London when you're in this wonderful neighborhood restaurant. I appreciated the nod to the chef's Filipino heritage. The lumpia are just the way my mother would have made them - proportioned just right, packed with flavor, expertly rolled, and fried to perfect crispness. I couldn't resist the Asian Hangover - like a dinner version of a traditional Filipino breakfast! I will be visiting again, not just for the food, but for the friendly and welcoming staff and energetic vibe.

Great food with a classy atmosphere. We had the filet sandwhich with snap peas, Elizabeth salad, a burger, mac n cheese, and key lime pie. Everything was really good. Service was excellent.

Such a great experience! I came here yesterday with my partner yesterday and was very pleased with my experience. The restaurant itself is very small and cozy, so it doesn’t seat too many people. Our wait was approx 45 minutes but luckily there’s a lot to do in the area while you wait. Once seated, our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. She was super acknowledged of the menu and very patient with us while we decided on what to get. I ordered the pretzel bread, mash potatoes and pecan salad. My partner ordered the fish and chips. Everything came out relatively quick and tasted absolutely delicious. I would definitely return!

We found this great little place for lunch on our visit to Minneapolis. The atmosphere is English pub with cool pictures on the walls and a comfortable vibe. Draft beer selection was pretty solid. The food was delicious, my husband had the steak sandwich and I had the caprese toastie and they were both very good! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a laid back lunch spot!

Locally sourced pizza with vegan & gluten-free options, plus delivery drivers in superhero costumes.
Galactic Pizza is as close to a perfect pizza restaurant as I can imagine. If you have read my other reviews you may notice that anything at above 4.5 is a 5-star review, but a rating over 4.8 is extremely rare; giving Galactic a 4.9 here. --- First up, the pizza, which is excellent; they offer a large variety of high quality ingredients, all sourced with high standards for the planet and taste - served in appropriate amounts on the ideal crust. Also, great choices for beverages, including limited but well chosen wine and beer - but many other nice options. --- No wobbly tables! Friendly and efficient service, the place is clean and maintained well. It also has interesting decor that fits the idea of what they are all about, and what a pizza joint should have in terms of atmosphere. ---- In the end, there is literally nothing wrong and essentially everything right about this place. The only reason this is not the first 5.0 rating I have ever given (yet) is because I only tried pizza and have only been one time. I have no reason to believe any other food would be anything but great or another visit would prove drastically different - so upon next visit will evaluate all that. But in the meantime, stop in or order some pizza. I am confident you will be glad you did.

My wife and I were visiting from our of town, and we eat..probably more than our fair share of pizza. We stopped in because we saw the pictures online and thought it looked fun. So glad we stopped. I got wings and a Paul Bunyon pizza, made with all local ingredients. My wife got just cheese. Everything we ate was spectacular and the service was so friendly and top notch. Next time we happen to be in the Twin Cities we are definitely coming back

Coming from Chicago I'm a bit of a pizza snob, so wasn't expecting much from Galactic Pizza when I stopped in during vacation. WOW is all I can say, I was blown away with the super friendly service, the cute location and most of all the pizza. The san marzano pizza sauce is house made and a 10 out of 10. One if the best pizzas I've ever had. In addition get the cheese sticks, house made and not greasy at all. Wish Galactic was closer to home because this pizza is damn near perfect.

This place has the nicest owner that served us. He was kind, and helpful. I highly recommend getting a bunch of 10 inch smaller pizzas and then sharing so you can try out a few of the unique ones. The chicken wings are a bit small so I recommend upgrading to the full plate. Nice to have the option of baking them though. Food was good, but the crust was a bit thin for my personal preference. I recommend this place for a new pizza flavor.

The food was pretty good, small establishment, interesting environment. Not really my spot but the food was good and that's all it matters.

Sophisticated, contemporary restaurant serving creative cuisine in a petite, sleek setting.
This place was amazing! I loved how everyone interacted with you during the presentation the best customer service I have had in a long time. Worth every penny! My husband and I did both wine flights (so we could try all of them)and we added the extra course. I have added pictures however they do not do their art justice. Thank you for am amazing night.

Wonderful experience! Great staff & service, delicious wine pairings with each course, plenty of food ... left very full! Amazing intimate tasting, highly recommend.

Best fine dining restaurant I know of in the area. We were greeted warmly and offered a cocktail upon arriving. The cocktails were delicious and made right in the entryway as if we were in someone's home, not a restaurant. The service continued in this way - a feeling of being welcomed into an intimate kitchen space rather than being separated from the chefs and hosts creating the experience. The food, like the food at Spoon and Stable, was elevated without losing sight of deliciousness - the techniques augmenting rather than distracting from the dishes. We also had the wine pairing, and were treated to wonderful brief explanations of the fabulous wines, each of which complimented the tastes on the plate. I've eaten at Meadowood and the French Laundry, and left Demi feeling similarly impressed. It's a talented and thoughtful group of ambitious young chefs and staff delivering the best dining experience I've had in the twin cities. Highly recommended.

Demi was superb. Walking in you see a boutique bar, where the bartender will make you any drink you desire with your spirit of choice. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and LOVE their job. The courses were elegant, beautifully plated, complex, flavorful and vibrant. They use seasonal ingredients, most of which are locally sourced. The wine offerings are endless and the varieties are rare and thoughtful. The ambiance is part of the draw. The courses were just enough food as well. Highly recommend Demi for a special occasion, or just to spoil yourself!

Intimate 24-seat, chef table-style restaurant. 7-course tasting menu. Attentive staff without being overbearing. Interactive chefs who brought you each course and put thought into their seasonal dishes. Great atmosphere. I would highly recommend Demi to anyone looking for a classy meal in the twin cities.
