Homey diner for old-fashioned American eats, including breakfast, steaks & senior specials.
After travelling in the snow all day, this was a welcomed treat! It was my first time eating at "Homesteaders". The special was excellent and very reasonably priced. We had the bread pudding for dessert and it was amazing! Warm and friendly atmosphere! The host and servers were on point! Thank you for an excellent meal!! I am sure I'll be back!!

Honestly the service was really good the waitress was very sweet. Very good place to eat my only problem was when we walked in Barb who seats people put her hand in my sisters face said"nope" and sat the people that were before us. It was incredibly rude and uncalled for all she had to say was I'm going to seat them first because they were here first. Barb was extremely rude when she came back after were all still confused about what just happened looks at us and says "what?"

This restaurant deserves at least a 5 star rating my daughter and I come here often with her 2 small children. Service and food is great at a very affordable price, only reason I am leaving a 4 star rating is the hostess at the front (Barb) on more than one occasion isn’t what I would consider to be nice or friendly, just seems to be a rather serious person in general except for today! Today this lady literally went above and beyond RUDE…

This a really neat restaurant. The name gives a great description of the vibe inside. It's rustic, interesting and clean. The waitresses were very nice and the service was excellent. My Homestead burger was quite good and the fries were excellent. My wife had the steak and eggs and it looked incredible. Unfortunately the hashbrowns were a soggy mess and the steak was mediocre at best. The prices are very fair, it's a shame the steak and eggs was well below what you want...

Only thing I didn’t like was the lady at the front desk talking to me like a child. Telling me “No” with her hand up. A simple “hey these guys were here first let me seat them and I’ll be right with you” would’ve sufficed okay. All the waitresses are sweet as can be and very helpful it’s just the lady up front that I’m not too happy with

Upbeat gathering place & live music haunt turning out classic Irish/American plates & beer on tap.
This is a cool local Irish pub with lots of great drink choices and a great pub atmosphere. The food was ok - the nachos are actually chips and came out cold with cold shredded cheese sprinkled on top and packets of sour cream. The burger was ok. The seasoned fries had seasoning shake sprinkled on top. I would definitely come back here for the pub, but probably not for food again.

What a great local bar and restaurant! They serve breakfast all day and have a lot of Irish dishes. Live music in the bar 6 days a week. Definitely a must see when in the area! The food was delicious especially the Irish stew with the Guinness bread! We had a great time I know you will to!

I love the atmosphere. Feels like you are in Ireland, well done. The food is fantastic, and they are very helpful in substituting things that you do not or can't eat. Very, very welcoming and friendly helpful staff that makes you feel right at home.

My bad mark for this pub is due to the bathroom experience I had in the men's room. The bathroom was incredibly filthy, water plashed all over, and paper towels strewn about the place. People really do care about the cleanliness of the restroom in an eating establishment. It says a lot about the standards set forth, and what kind of "clean" is going on in the kitchen. The worst of it for me was 'unavoidably' seeing someone (taking a c**p) on the toilet, upon entry to the men's room. Witnessing some guy (pooing) I felt incredibly uncomfortable for both of us. Revolting! There is no door on the stall, simply a short divider between the urinal and the toilet. My god man, spend a 100 bucks and put a door on the stall (please). Save us the visuals and embarrassing moments. I'm not sure what the owner's were thinking in their designing of their beautiful restaurant. On a good note: The food is good and I'm sure that most people that do not have experience with Irish food and Irish pubs in general, will find it fantastic. The build-out and overall design of the interior is also fantastic. Very Irish indeed.

Great atmosphere with a unique menu of Signature dishes and daily home-cooked specials..and Breakfast served all day !! I definitely wanted to try many ..but I am on a Rueben quest..as I shared with my waitress Alissa. When she brought me my platter she asked if she could sit with me. She took her break and sat with me, eager to hear about my quest. So far..I said.. This ones the best yet ! Yummy, melt in your mouth flavor.

We stayed at the hotel and tried these guys for breakfast. Slightly better than your standard hotel fare food, but I was hoping for better. Tried the build your own breakfast. Not much seasoning on anything so I had to over do it on salt/pepper/Tabasco. The bacon tastes like grease, breakfast potatoes are crunchy and flavorless, eggs were cooked perfectly over easy. Friendly, fast service and staff overall is fantastic. My little one had the toast, bacon and breakfast potatoes… she refused the bacon, toast was good but potatoes were ok.

I ordered room service since I’m staying in the hotel the restaurant is in and the food came warm. I didn’t get my Alfredo so I had to walk down to ask for silverware, straws, and my Alfredo. It came watered down and less than appetizing. We ordered chicken sandwiches as well and they had absolutely no flavor. We didn’t get offered condiments. I don’t write reviews but it’s not worth wasting your money. Kids spaghetti was cool and tasteless as well as the kids mac and cheese. Maybe dining in is better but I’m not willing to try after getting my Alfredo I had to go ask for that is pictured and watered down. No sauce to it at all or flavor.

Had a great experience at Primo! We ate in the bar, and it was very clean and comfortable. The bartender/server had a great attitude and was patient. The food and wine was delicious and very affordable. If you're looking for a good pasta dish in town, this is the place to go!

Went the night of the Vampire Burlesque show held at the grand. First time having their food besides at the bacon and brew event held annually at the Roosevelt Zoo. The wife and me arrived around 715 pm on a Saturday night and after we were seated they said they are out of all burgers, prime beef, and chicken. No big deal, plenty of other options on the menu. Staff was extremely nice and the place only had a few tables that were seated. We ordered a bottle of wine which was priced at $23.99 on the menu but was $26.99 on the ticket. Whatever, only a few dollars and I’m not even going to bring it up to our waitress as she had verbalized every time she had come to our table on how busy they were earlier and how little tips she had received. My wife ordered the portobello ravioli which came out in a bowl which was sitting in about 1 inch of olive oil, completely soaking all of the ravioli. I ordered the bourbon chicken pasta which looked good when they brought it out. I sunk my fork into it and the pasta was so over cooked that the noodles would fall apart if you tried to twirl them up. The sausage that was in it was borderline burnt, overcooked, and inedible. Again, our waitress was nice. But the wine and my pasta were a few dollars more on the receipt that what was on the menu, food itself was not good, and the place was pretty dirty (ceiling fan blades were black).

Way too overpriced for subpar food. The spinach artichoke dip was very bland and flavorless and the calamari came out cold like it was sitting for a while. Unfortunately our server was not very attentive. My drink ran dry a couple of times and it would take forever just to get a refill. People would show up well after we ordered and receive their salads and appetizers way before us, as they had a great server. But ours was drawn out and just unpleasant. I feel if the waitstaff wants a good tip, then some effort and care should be put forth. A pretty disappointing dinner, but now I know to stay away from this establishment.

Family-friendly chain eatery with a broad menu of standards & cocktails in a relaxed setting.
Wanted to try something new, they have them all over maine so he has never been to one, I have. We started with the soft pretzels with cheese sauce and they were hot and yummy. I got the French onion soup and house salad. Soup was salty but I like it that way. He got the chicken Mac n cheese, it was good, he got the light and was full so we could only imagine how big the large was. Our server Maddison was pleseant and attentive without being overbearing. Overall we would come back again.

Our server was a sweetie, and she was great at her job too. The atmosphere was decent, to be expected and was not too crowded actually. We were limited on options due to the time, so we chose this place. The food, was not good, besides the burger sliders. The chicken street tacos were bland, the queso was watered down, it just wasn't great at all... besides our server and my company!

Got a delivery order of steak and baked potatoe. The food was horrible! The steak was burnt and looked like cooked leather and the potato must have been cooked hours ago and was completely dried out. How do you stay in business!!!

Food was good, but over cooked. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. We as a group wanted dessert and were discussing the options but the waitress gave us the ticket before asking if wanted dessert. so we didn't get dessert.

We used to have one in our town, but it closed. It was very good food, always packed and busy.... This place in Minot, not so much.. Took over 20 minutes just to order our food, when we were told she would be right back. Then when we received our food, my husband's nachos were cold, daughters pizza was cold, both of our son's meals were cold, and my salad was filled with brown lettuce. Waitress had others bring our food to the table and never asked how the food was or if we needed refills. Haven't been anywhere in a long time with this bad of service. Probably why it was empty..

Casual steakhouse chain known for grilled beef & other American dishes in a ranch-style space.
We started off with the smokehouse wings. The seasoning, Buffalo sauce and house made blue cheese is fantastic. The wings were cooked well and tasty. Ordered the fire grilled corn 🌽 and man is that sauce amazing! It took me maybe a minute to devour it. Sooo good. I had the outlaw ribeye and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. I added the Parmesan cheese and mushrooms and that took it over the top. It was a tad too salty for me, but tasty nonetheless. My wife had the strip with Parmesan and mushrooms and felt the same. Good, but a tad salty. My little one had the chicken strips and fries and said they were amazing!!! We also had dessert. THE cheesecake is amazing and the lava cake, it was a mess on my little one 🤣 Service was fantastic!

I’m writing this review for our server from today (10/05/23), Betsy (forgive my spelling as I didn’t check). My husband and I both agree that she gave us the best service we’ve had anywhere. Sweet, patient, and always checking to make sure we were doing alright. The table next to us was a group and some of the individuals were quite rude yet she handled it with as much kindness as she did for us. Kudos to her as I know how hard serving can be.

Very good!! The only complaint was that the French fries were EXTREMELY over salted and almost inedible (and I like salt)

We arrived shortly after 8pm on a Saturday. The waiter was nice but rushed us, gave us our bills before we had been half way through our meal, and we hadn’t even asked for them. The whole time we were there other staff members were vacuuming right beside our table, it was loud and we couldn’t even hear each other talk. No soap in the restrooms either. Absolutely a terrible experience

It was my first time visiting Minot in Oct, 2018. We were going to the Apple bee's but we had to wait a long line, so we turned here. I gotta say one of the best choice I made throughout that year cuz the steak absolutely killed it.

Downtown icon serving homestyle American eats in a renovated space hung with historic town photos.
What a great place!! Food was delicious. The young lady working the front was incredibly nice, and all the staff were super attentive. We both had the sausage biscuits and gravy, one with scrambled eggs and the other with over-easy. And of course we had to try their famous carmel roll (recommended by our server)!! Sooooooooo good! Just one bit of advice, go when your starving. The servings are HUGE!! 😆 We ended up taking food home. We highly recommend.

The atmosphere was great in here! Was not busy at all when we arrived. Unfortunately , Brandon our server wasn’t very attentive to our table at all, we sat with empty drinks for 10 minutes while he walked around. After what seemed like half an hour, our server came to our table and asked what we wanted to eat, not friendly but not rude. Acted like he did not want to be there helping guests. When we eventually got our food, one person at my table discovered egg shells in their omelet. Not a big deal , but very disappointing as our service and experience wasn’t the greatest. We will not be coming back to this Cafe .

Charlie's is an amazing small town cafe. Myself and my wife have become regulars here, typically for breakfast but lunch a time or two as well. Staff is beyond friendly and unlike most other restaurants in town, the staff here genuinely seems like they want to be at their job. And that alone makes for a very pleasant dining experience. I would recommend Charlie's to anyone looking for a good place to eat.

I’ve been here a couple of times when I’ve passed through Minot. Best Breakfast In Minot is no exaggeration. I love the biscuits and gravy with hash browns and eggs. Great service, great old fashioned cafe, reasonable prices and good portions. I always order caramel rolls to go. YUMMY!

The hot beef sandwich was pretty good. But it’s not out of this world or anything. The caramel roll was good! Probably can make this at home. I wish I could have tried their pies. The service was not good. The lady taking order was not nice I actually felt like if we did something to make her mad at my table. Never got my water refilled or asked if the food was okay. Maybe this place is one of the best eateries out of minot and that’s why it has such a high rating. If this business had to compete with actual decent diners it would be mediocre best. The restaurant was clean and spacious though. If the service was good probably give 4 star.

Full-service chain bar & grill providing hearty American eats in an informal setting.
Decided to get Applebees for dinner because I havent had it in a long time. Ordered my steak well done, mashed patatoes no sour cream & boneless buffalo wings. They gave me what i DIDNT want. I couldnt even eat it. The wings were old & hard and they just poured a bunch of sauce on top. The parmesean wasnt even melted it was chunks. Asked for well done steak just for it to be pink. Very dissapointing.

First time at this location. They did a great job. Our server was there for 23 years and was the best. I feel bad I don't remember her name. Food was freshly cooked and served fast. Didn't like the mac and cheese, but it was fresh. Kids loved the food too. Great experience!

Patrick was our server and he was wonderful. He gave us great advice on ordering, anticipated our needs and was proactive in bringing refills to our table. Just the right amount of interaction without being intrusive. Food was great, service was amazing. We enjoyed our evening.

Want to say thank you for the extra hair in my husbands food. We didn’t have to pay extra for it and you have ensured my family will never eat at your establishment again. Wonderful way to support the Minot community.
