DineLa lunch was great! I had the chicken Parm on linguine and a salad and my friend had impossible burger. But the class of the lunch was a mushroom bisque that was absolutely delicious and I think about it time and time again. The service was excellent and the old decor was very good Indeed and a nice tin roof

This place is amazing!!! The art deco and preservation of the beauty of this building is so much appreciated. We have gone for many different nights and it has always been spectacular. The food is delicious, the drinks are strong and the service is red carpet! Mambo Craze is the best night to go if you love variety for entertainment. The bands and entertainment are beyond talented! Big thanks to Daisy for letting us know about this gem! We will be coming often and telling everyone we know .

Not my first time. I've grabbed dessert here before because the food is on the higher priced side. Grabbed dinner solo at the bar this visit. Lots of great entrees to choose from. Was there for happy hour and they had some slightly discounted specials in the bar from 3-7pm. When you sit at a bar for dinner, it's often to increase the interaction with the staff or fellow patrons because you are traveling alone and don't want to be ignored or forgotten at a table because you don't have anyone to pass the time with. Well, perhaps I should have gotten a table. Because the bar staff seemed almost intentionally ignoring me. I had to ask for the happy hour menu. Then I had to ask for the dinner menu. I ordered a $28 entree and only saw my server once more the entire meal. They asked to hold my card when I ordered which is kind of tacky for a nice place. But I assume they have had some dine and dashers or people simply left after never seeing their server again. The other server at the bar visited the person beside me five times before I finally asked for my bill after my plate and glass had been empty for fifteen minutes and they had literally been inches away from me but never looked my way even though I was trying to to get their attention. The food was great. If you are with someone and want a slow paced meal in a classy atmosphere, highly recommended. If you are a solo diner expect to be there waiting on service far too long. So bring a book to read or something.

The atmosphere is top notch the food is really good. We we're here for Dine LA week and all of the service called out/off and unfortunately, our service was lacking. We were 6 of 8 guests followed by another party of 6. Our server took our order first, brought our salads. While at the other party they got their drinks and bread basket. By this time, two other staff showed up and our main meal was served. I asked for our drinks and our bread basket. Will I/we be back...maybe???

Have you experienced dining in a fire station? If not, follow me! Highlights of the menu: 1. Brussels sprout & bacon 2. French fries 3. BBQ short ribs & cole slaw 4. Creme brulee strawberry I have never been in a fire station before, not to mention this is dining in a historical fire station in downtown of LA. Very interesting set up!

Lively, Tim Burton–inspired dinner theater featuring nightly shows, cocktails & imaginative fare.
What a fun place to go, I highly recommend!!!! The menu is not large, which makes sense when you taste how delicious the food is. What they lack in variety they make up for with flavor, balance and fun. The restaurant/bar has a small, intimate feel. We loved the entertainment by the Sanderson Sisters and visits from Chucky and Sam (from trick or treat) during our dining experience. This experience is expensive and you must book a reservation ahead of time. Be prepared for either street metered parking or trying to find a public parking structure and walking.

Went here for my bday. I've been dreaming of going for a long time. It did not disappoint! The servers honored my request for a great seat starting my night out amazing. The food was yummy and the drinks were fun and tasted great! The entertainment was great! The Sanderson sisters were so hood and finished off my experience by singing me happy birthday. If I am ever in LA I will be back 100%! Thank you all

Had so much fun. Food was pretty great, service was pretty great, atmosphere was pretty dang cool. Really had the best time. Only have 4 stars on some things because the price was so high plus gratuity included even on party of 4. Service was ok but was not happy after paying $100 a person to get asked to leave our table because of a time limit even tho we only saw 2 acts. They could have the acts closer together but the acts were awesome. Totally happy with our experience.

The staff is very attentive and very much in character! Came for my wife's birthday and we both loved it! The food was very tasty and while a starting price of $60/adult seems like a lot, it's not considering you get an appetizer and an entree. The performers were all very professional and quite hilarious as well. The ambiance is spooky of course, and the lighting just adds the cherry on top. Highly recommend getting a reservation in advance and coming here when you can!

Just came for the performance & cocktails and it was really fun. Bartender was in a hurry making the drink even though it wasn't packed. I got the fish bowl which was basically a long island with swedish fish and smoke. the performance was really fun too, they had original characters and some iconic ones. It's an old building going through some renovations yes the decor is spooky. they had a red room you enter through a coffin. definitely have to come and try the food next time.

Aviation-themed steakhouse offers views of planes landing at nearby LAX, plus a champagne brunch.
Large establishment near LAX and the metro/bus station. Stopped by for a few drinks after a flight, on the way to the bus/metro station. Plenty of parking for those that are driving, but is walking distance from the metro/bus station. Parking has 4 ww fighter planes with accompanying tales. I said establishment as it's a restaurant, as well as somewhat of a history place. You order from the bar and the food is prepared across the bar (see 2 photos). There's a kids play area inside as well. Behind the building is a playground, along with other planes.

I loved it, and my kids loved it even more! Great experience in getting up close to the planes at a safe open space, while having great food and drinks. Kids loved the model planes and the playground. A great variety of food is available at a very reasonable price. All burgers could be replaced with beyond meat patty. So happy to have found this new spot.

I had been wanting to visit for a long time and finally got to do it. Fell in love with the place right away. As an aviation fan and lover, it is always magical to find places such as this. I brought my camera and was able to take a couple of great pictures and videos. The food is good, but I will come back for the planes haha

Tried their brisket sandwich and chicken strips with waffles 🧇. Flavor and taste was good but sandwich size was very small for the price. Nice place to watch planes ✈️ land at LAX.

This place is amazing. Lots of history and old planes to look at. The service and food was amazing. And the plane watching was a huge bonus. Get very close and see many coming in. 10/10, will go again.

Open-air bar near the Staples Center with burgers, tacos & inventive cocktails.
Wonderful, friendly staff and yummy food make L.A.'s first walk up bar a fun place to go. Indoor and outdoor seating with a private area upstairs with it's own bar too. Go here before a show at Crypto down the street. You can park your car right across the street in a parking structure too. Management, bar staff and security are all amazing people!

Great food selection and adult beverage selection is pretty big. Pranks outdoor seating is the main appeal, in my opinion and it’s a very good spot for a date. The music is not too loud and it’s a great spot to just have a meal with a chill drink while people watching. A lot of foot traffic from Crypto Center/LA Live area. Definitely a good spot to stop by before an event to pregrame. I’ve had their drinks and their Moscow Mules are real good. ***Update*** Tried their brunch menu and had their Caesar Salad with chicken and a side of salmon. The chicken was tender and the salmon was seasoned/cooked perfectly. The sliders with fries is delicious along with the shrimp skewers.

Nice corner spot. We arrive early to be able to have an outside table. Dinner I guess starts at 4pm - I am not used to having to order at a bar. Typically waiters come to your table and take your order. So, yeah I prefer that way of dining. Food was good though, my fiancé enjoyed their jalapeño burger. He said it was good. He also ordered a glass of Chardonnay. You know, Chardonnay is Chardonnay nothing special about it. I had their vegan nachos which was delicious too. Tacos good too. There wasn’t a lot of people for it to be a Saturday. Nice to have dinner without a lot of noise. We had dinner before heading to the Dodger game which’s the reason we arrived early. We will probably return at a later time just to see their full ambience when there’s a lot of people, just to experience the full potential of Prank Bar. Not to mention, I would like to tryout a few more items on their menu.. Speaking of the menu, everything is very affordable. Be prepared to pay $20 for parking across the street or down the street. Which we opted out of. No way we’re paying that to eat for an hour. Park on the street, cheaper.

Prank! La’s like first walk up bar or something like that. So fun, had a great brunch date here. Seating was quick, I think we were early because the crowd came a few minutes later but it was already looking pretty busy. You order at the bar, it’s hectic, so bring patience! The bartenders are quick with orders though, very professional. We grabbed the mimosa bucket to prep for our meal. I definitely recommend maybe four people to a bucket unless your thirsty, no judgment, we’re adults. I was thirsty apparently, we finished our champagne w ease and the food paired so well. I had the steak omelette and my partner had the French toast. I recommend getting the steak medium for the omelette, which I think was my only mistake. My mistake not theirs so I won’t let that impact this rating. I had a great time. The server even noticed a wobbly table and immediately had it fixed for another customer seated nearby. Highly recommend for a daytime date or even meeting, I saw a mix of professionally dressed and casual attendees throughout the space. Great atmosphere and though it is on the street, it’s not too loud for a great conversation.

I guess the Prank was on us because the food was horrible. I’m sure my favorite thing with these 4 items I ordered was the dipping sauces for the calamari. It was on the way to the stadium so we wanted to grab a quick bite before the game. Unfortunately it was not worth the money at all. Fries were cut fresh but were not cooked well. Just sad.

Really cozy place. They saved me when I was desparately searching around for the real espresso, not a pint of brown water when asking for espresso in any of fast food or bistro in LA streets. Really great espressso, fantastic capuccino and selection of wines. Very friendly staff.

I stopped here by chance, and had a fantastic time. I met Ian, who was a breath of fresh air with a dandy selection of wines I would gladly return for. I sipped some delightful chilled Grenache and picked up a magnum of Vej along with some other wines he suggested. I can’t wait to try them. I thought everything was priced very reasonably, and they did a lot with the small space. I didn’t eat the food though someone else said it was amazing. Absolutely worth a stop by!

I feel like I've never even eaten food before coming here. The food was incredible. Handmade pasta. Fun creative vegetables. Great drinks. Stumbled in here and CANT BELIEVE how good the experience was. Waitstaff so kind and sweet!

We had a group of 12 and the owner, Ian, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Food was amazing - can't wait to go back and have the grilled artichokes and the truffle grilled cheese sandwich

My favorite wine bar in LA. This is the place I compare all other wine bars to. Really great selection. Great food, service and atmosphere too.

Communal & convivial bar for Starry Kitchen eats, craft beer & vintage arcade games.
The food was excellent, all of it. We started with the honey walnut prawns, which were fantastic, and we didn’t leave a trace of them. After that, we had the octopus burrata, which was mind-blowing. Everything was super fresh. Finally, we had that day's special, duck legs, and I believe that was the yummiest duck I have ever had 😄. Shout-out to our server, Victoria. She was super sweet and extremely attentive to our needs.

A fun place to place all sorts of video games, have a drink, and eat the most incredible food of your life. The menu is so adventurous and it really pays off. So many unique takes on classics such as the Thai Caesar salad, which was somehow both light, fresh, and savory. The real champ was the chicken gizzard pasta. The flavor and texture was like an elevated chorizo, and paired with the fresh pasta and green onion was *chef's kiss*. The service was impeccable. In such a casual setting, I felt like I was having dinner in a fine dining establishment. Would definitely come again.

This highlights Poltergeist at Button Mash. To preface, they absolutely do not allow anyone under the age of 21 to enter past 9 PM as they turn into a bar, even with a reservation so please follow their rules. The food was offered through a series of set courses. To begin, the roll was extremely flavorful and almost melted in the mouth. The beef ravioli and the octopus were also excellent and unique dishes. As for the game hen, there were a lot of bones and it was hard to get much meat but the overall experience was great. The vibes were very modern and almost hippie, and there were pinball games to play around us. Highly recommend if you want to try some upscale food in Los Angeles that comes with a fun experience with every dish they serve.

Food was pretty good- the cauliflower, burger, and fries surprised me. It’s a bit loud in there though cause of all the games, so if you’re there to just chill and talk then this might not be the place for you. But it was a nice stop before going to the dodgers stadium for black pink!

We had the roll, coconut curry, and carrot cake, and all were so delicious. The roll has the most unique flavor, while it was good it also had flavor combos that I've never had. Was fun to try all of them and we finished it all. Photo is the carrot cake.

Trendy Italian restaurant from an acclaimed husband-&-wife team highlights creative seasonal fare.
Most outstanding service I've been to in LA. When you literally walk to the restroom and come back, your napkin is folded. They fold... your napkin! They quickly replace drinks without us asking. A+ service. Now the food: DELICIOUS! The gnocchi was very soft and paired with the ricotta was perfect, and the bone marrow with the pasta was tasty (honestly thought they were green beans by accident). There are so many other dishes I tried and honestly, all are great. For the price they charge its worth it. Definitely come here for a casual get together or even events. You won't be disappointed.

5 stars for the bone marrow and spinach gnocchetti! It was delicious and buttery. You can do a bone marrow shot after they scooped out the marrow. Tartar and olives were both good. Saffron pici, flavorful, a little bit salty. Squid ink spaghetti, love the lemon, it was spicy and a little salty. Bar seats are fun, you get to see all the action. Only thing is I wished the server would ask if we would like to keep the bread and olives before taking them away, there was still a good amount left and we wanted to take it to-go but it got thrown out instead.

It's one of the best places to visit I LA hands down. Service was quick and gave excellent recommendations. Kid friendly menu and everything was delicious. The drink choices were unlimited, and everything was cooked for perfection. Our favorite course was the bone marrow. It was a great start to a wonderful dining experience. The pork was well seasoned and piping hot. The pizza was seasoned just right with a great amount of sauce. They also had refillable drink options, but not many.

Bestia is a perfection. It was a perfection on ALL LEVELS when it just opened and years later got even better. Everything is superb here, from food to a wonderful staff that is extremely attentive and beyond welcoming. All the dishes that we ordered were delicious and full of unique flavors. We can't wait to go back to this fabulous establishment. Keep doing what you are doing, you are GREAT !

An LA cult classic that actually lives up to the hype. Anticipate making your reservation far in advance, as it can be quite booked out. I’m surprised this place doesn’t have some sort of Michelin recognition, as it is definitely at that level, in my humble opinion! Everything from the salad to the pizza and pasta was insanely delicious. We sat at the counter, which was extra fun because we got to watch the chefs prepping everything with such care and attention. My absolute favorite that I still dream about is the Chestnut Agnolotti. It is easily one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had, including everything I’ve had in Italy!!
