Industrial-style bar & American grill with car & garage decor, plus a stage for live-music events.
Huge place. We sat outside under cover with a huge outdoor bar. There are several bars indoors as well. We had beer which was satisfyingly cold. Good service.

All around decent place with a cool vibe and interior design. Nice wait staff always. My perogies were way undercooked on 2 different visits, so I sent them back to get crisped so they weren't like bubble gum. When they were crisped they were absolutely wonderful! Decent mixed drinks. Bartenders are a bit slow and too interested in gossiping. If they were faster we would have ordered at least 2 more drinks each in our party of 4 last visit. Great location for spring and summer. I've been 4 times and will be back.

Amazing food. Amazing staff. Inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Great restaurant with delicious food!! We ordered lunch there and the staff was wonderful…professional and very friendly! The Mac and cheese with chicken was delicious!! Will definitely be back when we visit Pittsburgh again. Also loved the open environment to the outside!!

Mediocre at best. Service was slow even though there was next to no one there. Menu online doesn't match the menu at the restaurant. I got the burger and it was so boring. Girlfriend ordered the Mac n cheese. Terrible quality. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because the chicken nachos were pretty good.

Relaxed hangout serving a small menu of European-inspired vegan plates, plus cocktails & beer.
Food was not particularly interesting or flavorful, but fun to try. Service was great and the atmosphere was unique. They were amazing with accommodating food allergies for one member of our group.

Very nice to remember Eastern Europe through this healthy tasty vegan food. Everything was delicious from the first bite to the last one. We tasted the cold summer soup, Silesian dumplings, fried pierogi and cherry pie with icecream. No more words to say, everything just super flavorful and you don't miss the animal part at all.

If you don’t eat meat and are tired of limited options for food, you must check this place out. My first visit to APTEKA was standard. Got there early so seating didn’t take too long, and ordered many popular dishes. It was impressive that they were able to get nice flavors completely vegan. Had the pierogis, sweet noodles, dessert. Overall the flavors were alright, a little plain, maybe it’s Polish cuisine or vegan ingredients, but nothing blew me away from ‘one of the best restaurants in the country’. 5 months later, I happened to visit APTEKA again. This time the menu was a little different, and the pierogis this time were great. Very hearty and flavorful. I also got a sparkling juice that tasted nice, but the cabbage cigar dish was unimpressive. The atmosphere is nice, as there’s space for low-light dining at the front of the restaurant or bright natural-lit garden dining. If you dine in, you order and pay once you enter, then carry your dining equipment with you to your table. The tip line is confusing when the customer does everything except carrying the food. The service was also fairly chaotic. During my second visit, all dishes came except for one, which never came even after 40 minutes. The servers kept asking if everything came, and one server tried to start clearing the table assuming we were done. Once they realized they had forgotten the order we got it within 10 minutes. They even refunded the charge for that dish, which was an unexpected gesture and shows their dedication to quality service among their popularity.

Second time eating here! Hard to pick a favorite, but glad to get to eat the celeriac schnitzel and crispy buckwheat again in the various dishes we picked this time. Food is undeniably flavorful and unique. Service is very accommodating for food allergies. Interesting cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages. Very busy restaurant, best to come just as it opens or make reservations. There was already a queue outside the door at 5:20pm Sunday. Glad we had made a reservation.

Unfortunately, I went back their after a while and the food wasn’t as good as before. Definitely you can see the taste of foods are not very similar to before. I’m glad that I didn’t wait outside to be seated. And we had a problem with one of our foods(hair in the food!), but they couldn’t replace it. I hope they get better again like before.

Lively bar offering draft beer & weekday happy hour, plus burgers, sandwiches & other American food.
My coworker and I swung by for a quick bite to eat prior to a meeting at Children’s Hospital. My salad was good and she enjoyed the Mediterranean Salad. Lot 17 is conveniently located within walking distance to nearby hospitals. The staff was friendly. Coke products are served.

One day some friends and I went after a show because everything downtown was booked or closed. What a pleasant surprise. It felt really cozy and welcoming in this restaurant. We were not regulars obviously but you could tell there was a easy going regular crowd present. Everyone was warm and friendly and our waitress was nice in a real way, not a pretentious customer service way. The food was pretty good and the portions were so huge. I would go there again. There was like a warm vibe there. It was nice.

We were hungry after leaving a nearby hospital and happened to find this place by chance. I’m so glad we did! It was a nice day and they had outdoor seating which was so nice! I got the mediterranean salad and it was absolutely delicious. My husband got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. He said it was the best chicken sandwich he’s ever had and it was gone before i had a chance to take a picture. Good portion sizes. Good service. We will definitely be back!

Delicious. Got take out and it didn’t disappoint. Had the salmon BLT and the ribs and wings combo. Got Cajun fries as a side with both. I love a good ranch dressing and theirs was the perfect accompaniment for my fries! Will be ordering again!!! The guy who took my order was super friendly. Highly recommend.

I been going here for years! Was always the take out spot when my son was born for my family. Now I travel into town to just have drinks with my family that still live nearby! Good food..even better staff!!

Quaint eatery & bar for pastas, seafood, wine, amaros & more Sicilian & Mediterranean dishes.
We came here for Valentine’s Day & came back today to celebrate my wife’s birthday. It was so incredible & each time we come it’s such a beautiful experience with amazing memories built over conversations about the the flavors of each dish. My first time going I had a mushroom pasta that was delicious. This time we shared the jumbo shrimp, meatballs, and rigatoni. I would eat that rigatoni again and again and again. The wine selections are incredible. Our server was super attentive & sweet & even offered to take a picture of us. I can go on forever about how amazing this place is, but just go because it will be worth it every single time. Lastly, the tiramisu & cheesecake are delicate, balanced, and truly indulgent without being super sweet or too rich, just perfect. The entire dessert menu is impressive in flavors. 😍

My wife and I came here for our first wedding anniversary, and everything was absolutely fantastic. All of the food that we had was great, and our server was nice and efficient. Dish is a great place to get excellent food and have a great experience for any occasion!

Hands down best authentic Italian food in Pittsburgh. Intimate atmosphere, not a bad table in the place. Bar service is impeccable. The owner and staff will make you feel like family. I’ve actually made reservations for friends, and was able to make accommodations to prepay before they arrived for their meal. It’s the perfect gift for anyone you love. The grilled octopus salad is perfection. Cannot praise Dish enough.

Reservations are recommended but we lucked out and got seating after 8 on a Tuesday. Our waiter was incredible. Attentive and friendly and had impeccable timing. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was lovely. The food ranged from ok to delicious. They serve lovely bread with oil and vinegar The ricotta toast: bland until you add salt. Ricotta needs salt and seasoning in order to sing. The carpaccio: eating it with the Parm was required, otherwise the meat was bland The mushroom pasta: yum, though I prefer my papardelle a bit wider and the dish needed a bit more moisture beyond the (generous) amount of butter used on the mushrooms Prosciutto and peas: very tasty but a bit milky for my taste, but my friends loved it We opted to skip dessert and overall thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The space is lovely and the vibe is cozy neighborhood and a rad romantic.

Wonderful food, exquisite atmosphere, attentive and knowledgeable staff - an all around 10/10 experience. Basically the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy (and I lived there for a year and have visited since). I enjoyed the duck ragu with handmade pasta and the eggplant antipasto (appetizer) with fancy mozzarella hit a perfect spot between salty, savory, and tart. The tiramisu melted in my mouth and was super fun to eat. Plus all the dishes were plated beautifully like works of art. You can tell the chefs really care about the food - both flavor and presentation as well as locally sourced ingredients Will be coming back very often. I expect I'll have to fight for reservation spots. I also really really appreciate Dish required proof of vaccination - it makes me feel safe and like my health and the restaurants health is being prioritized in these uncertain times.

Industrial-chic choice for inventive American fare with an Italian twist, plus craft cocktails.
We had our wedding reception at Station and it was absolutely spectacular! Kristina was so lovely to work with and they made the whole process easy and straight forward. We were able to rent out the entire restaurant for evening, which included the dining room and the bar area. The restaurant itself was beautiful so we didn't even need decorations; between the string lights and the gorgeous wood bar they had the ambience totally covered. The cocktails were a HUGE hit! I was a big fan of the featured mocktail. And the food itself was incredibly delicious! Each person got to choose from 3 options of appetizer, entree, and dessert. Complements to the chefs, because all of my choices were excellent, particularly the braised short rib and popcorn panna cotta. We cannot thank the staff enough for such a wonderful evening. The service was incredible and every member of the staff was so warm and helpful. Station is a great place to host a party or event and we highly recommend them! (Photo credit to Maya Lovro Photography, who we also highly recommend!)

Great food with top-notch service! The tagliatelle was really really good with smoky pork and eggs, but might be better with less butter. Roasted chicken was tender and juicy, and lavender pound cake tastes moist and dense, and the pineapple chunks just adds that icing on cake literally.

We had a terrible experience at Station. We were there to celebrate a friends birthday and the service was lacking. We got there at 7pm - we had reservations. It was 830 before someone even took our food order. I think we got our food at around 9:30, after having to prompt them for it. The birthday girls entree didn’t come, appetizers were missing. No refills on water or drinks. To top it all the food was not great. The chicken and gnocchi was too salty, as was the roasted squash salad. A few people got the pork shank tagliatelle which they did enjoy. Overall with the poor service and very average food, this is not a restaurant we’d go to again.

Had dinner here as a team offsite. Ambience is great when it’s dark outside. Chicken liver mousse is great, though the pairing pretzel chip (I assume that’s what it is) is a bit hard on the teeth and not crispy enough and could use less salt flakes sprinkled on the surface. The texture of the octopus is fine — great balance between chewiness and softness. I was able to taste a bit of licorice, which is somewhat surprising, but overall still too salty and sour — great for drinking some wine with though. Had swordfish as my entree. Texture is very lean but that’s probably what you’re looking for in fish like that. Gnocchi tastes creamy, rich, and charred to just the right degree, but more like a ball of potato mash than pasta — wouldn’t say it’s my favorite gnocchi. Salad on top and roasted fennel are regular. Overall, there’s a gourmet attempt of their food which I like and I would definitely recommend this place for a good hearted gathering with family, friends, or colleagues.

We had my son and daughter in law’s rehearsal dinner here I express how wonderful the food was ! The staff was amazing and so very helpful. We used the dining room there is plenty of room for parties of all types! Let start first with cocktails they are delightful mixes and very refreshing!! The food oh my the food we gave the guests their choice of 3 different appetizers and main course and even deserts and from the plating to the amazing flavors let me tell you the chef here is top notch!!! The staff are wonderful to work with I can’t thank them enough for great service. If you are looking for a great place to host a party or just go for great food and drinks STATION is the place to try!!

Laid-back gathering place for seasonal menus crafted using ingredients from local producers.
Amazing! I happened upon The Porch at an event in Schenley Park, Beer at the Bosque. My friend and I decided to try their food first hand. We went for lunch and were thrilled to see the affordable selection of child's plates at just $6. They have a family friendly atmosphere and the restaurant is easy to navigate. There is a family restroom along with a HUGE accessible women's restroom. I didn't peek in the men's room, so I have no clue. The bar opens at 4pm however they are extremely accommodating. They are cross trained so while there is no bartender at the bar there are people who can make your drink if you wish to have one. I went in for a quick visit and was served at the bar immediately. The staff is extremely welcoming. We enjoyed our food and loved sitting outside. Our only complaint was the harsh paint smells during renovations. Otherwise, this is a perfect place for a lunch date, lunch meeting, or dinner. The green grass parks, and scenery is spectacular. I love the artwork on the walls, recycled bicycle parts. Great job!

We decided to finally try out The Porch and I'm glad we did! What really stood out to me about this place was the exceptional service and the ambiance; this restaurant is gorgeous, and being located at the foot of the Cathedral just makes it beautiful. You also walk right past cabbages growing outside and we learned that they have bees on the roof, which is so cool! The waitstaff is very attentive and incredibly lovely. We really enjoyed the meal. My aperol was great, the glassware especially is really special. The truffle burger was really tasty, I liked that they give you the option to build it yourself. It was pretty clear that the burger was pre-shaped, which I didn't like as much, but it was still good for the price. The margarita pizza really was the thing I was most disappointed about; the woodfired dough was great and the tomato sauce was delicious but typically I expect fresh mozzarella on a margarita, not pre-shredded mozzarella. It was still really tasty, and I liked the build it yourself options for that as well, but it would have been better advertised as a cheese pizza. Overall, I really enjoyed the Porch and I will absolutely be back for more menu offerings, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and you just can't beat the location!

Wonderful atmosphere for rainy days in early fall. The truffle burger was absolutely delicious. Will be coming back to try the lobster mac!

Came here with a group on a Sunday for Brunch. Arrive early because parking can be hard to find. After the fact I found out that there is a parking garage across the street which is free on Sunday 😩 The restaurant was very busy. Looks like there was a graduation that took place and this was the place of choice for brunch. Food: I really wanted the chicken and waffles but since they only offered dark meat I decided to go with the Veggie burger. It was okay but the fries were nice and seasoned . Alot of people in my group ordered the chicken and waffles but the waffles were hard. They brought them out some new ones in which you can clearly feel the difference. Amongst the group the food was okay. Some had the biscuit and gravy, avocado toast, and potatoes. They ordered a mimosa pitcher, side note ask for no ice unless you want it watered down after a while. The spot itself is nice just don't think I'll be back for brunch.

I honestly never heard of this place and I lived at Pitt for a little while. Let me tell you the atmosphere is fantastic and you have a great view of the cathedral and park right outside. The way the lunch line was set up was different. You stayed in line walked up and ordered your food and sat down anywhere with a table buzzer. This led to some confusion with the people bringing your food out cause they had no clue where anyone was sitting. I ended up getting the special pirate burger. I ordered in medium rare because that's the only way to eat a juicy burger lol. Well it came out more medium well and so did my wifes. It was good but I had to add some hot sauce to it cause the meat was so dry. My wife got the truffle burger I believe it was called. She thoroughly enjoyed it except the fact that the meat was over cooked. After waiting 15 minutes in line to place and order we probably waited another 30-40 minutes for our food to come out during lunch. We will be back to this place just cause the atmosphere and would like to try their dinner menu.

Trendy outpost serving innovative New American cuisine & craft cocktails in a rustic-chic space.
The drinks were cute! And the atmosphere was fun and unique. No food as it was a pop up. And I had wished there was food. A little disorganized upon entry but staff was very friendly. I would recommend the Spookeasy

I ordered the buttermilk fried rabbit which tasted amazing. I also had the dirty pasta to start which was yummy as well. The restaurant atmosphere is very nice and homey. I came a second time a few weeks later and ordered the burger which also did not disappoint! My friend ordered the steak and said it was yummy as well. I think the rabbit is the most unique dish and worth a try though!

Part whisky bar part restaurant Butcher had a great atmosphere. There was a wall of various whisky bottles some were hard to find. They also various specialized cocktails. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful in selecting a drink. I enjoyed the meal as well. The place reminded me of a bar you would find in Manhattan.

Good food. Very American. Could easily get a star but not on the route. Duck liver, lamb neck with ricotta were great. Lived the tartare too. Great whisky bar. Very friendly staff. Pittsburgh is a cool town.

Great restaurant! The decor is wonderfully cozy and warm. There are oil lanterns at each table and amazing antique fixtures and glasses. The drinks are whiskey based and amazing, especially from the upper bar; it has it’s own menu. The food was equally amazing; we had scallops and rabbit and Dirty Pasta. We ended with apple bread pudding. It was good. You won’t be disappointed.
