Classy yet casual French restaurant specializing in roasted chicken, seafood & other meats.
a lovely restaurant with great food and great service. the deer cappacio was quite an experience. a thoughtful selection of ingredients came together pretty well. the cocktail something sauvage was good but a bit too watery; you’ll could barely feel the gin. overall would come back and try other dishes.

Best food we had in Quebec. If you have allergies they are very allergy friendly. Both vegan and vegetarian options on their menus. Love this restaurant.

I really enjoyed this place. It has all you need, good food, good wine, and good service. They made a really good salmon. I would highly recommend it. They helped us find a good wine. Last, we got to eat honey from a honey comb. They make their own honey, and it is the best. The staff was awesome. They always had a smile, and got our food quickly. They treated us great.

We had the most special meal with fun for my 8 year-old as he dipped sticks in rooftop honey! They served the best vegetables I have ever tasted and remarkably, the freshest lettuce. I wish spots in California were this fresh. It is a must to enjoy while in Quebec city!

Real nice place with so much gluten free options. Was there for brunch, and the portions were really good. My coeliac wife had no reaction at all.

Stylish, upscale venue featuring seasonal Canadian dishes, tasting menus, wine pairings & a patio.
The Ambient & lighting made a comforting and relaxing atmosphere. Service was superb. The 7 course tasting menu was well balanced (perfectly portioned) and every dish was amazing. Definitely the highlight of our weekend trip to Quebec City

OMG is the best phrase I can use to describe the food and service at Legende. This is world-class dining at its finest in Quebec City. Probably the best oysters on the planet. Be sure to try the five course fixed menu as it is their specialty and whatever other recommendations staff may make. The employees are really knowledgeable on the wine pairing choices, for example. 95 percent of the food is locally or regionally sourced and therefore fresh and tasty. Presentation and service were also impeccable. A little on the expensive side of course, but if you go easy on the wine, it can be reasonable. A once in a lifetime culinary opportunity for me. Highly recommended for foodies or just anybody who wants to enjoy superior dining.

wonderful fine dining restaurant at its best. Good atmosphere, autumn trained staff. We ate a five-course testing menu with wine. We were very satisfied. Everything was delicious but expensive.

How to begin... I wanted to take my wife out for her birthday, and since she is a foody and writes for Asian magazine. Not easy to impress her 😅 We've already tried many Québec restaurants since we got a condo in old Québec late 2021. For the presentation, we give 10/10 Beautiful dishes, colorful and eye gazing! The atmosphere we can't give more than 5/10... one of the staff at the counter was super loud, and all we could hear in the restaurant was his voice talking to 2 ladies during the 2 hours we were there. Food we give 6/10... most of the dishes were good but the small pieces of bavette in the main course were chewy and the dessert not up to this kind of place! Service 5/10... we felt that the staff was not trained to the level of expectation! A bit robotic and cold.

Was looking for a little weekend break from Montreal and I had not been to Quebec city in a while... As I made my travel arrangements I was told: "you must go to Légende". And I am so glad I listened. This was my best dinning experience in years. My experience dinning at the bar at Légende on a Saturday night was amazing. The proposal of the tasting menu were left me blown away and the wine pairing was absolutely perfect!! I kept on been blown away by the flavors on my plate dish after dish! Do yourself a favor and just open up to the experience by having the tasting menu and beverage pairing which can be wine or non alcoholic option (and those looked amazing). I congratulate the team! Can't wait to try it again.

Located in the L'Auberge du Trésor Inn, this upscale eatery offers New Canadian cuisine & a patio.
Great spot to stop by for a snack and a drink! Tried the snails here. They were very well prepared. Pizza was a nice little share snack. To finish this off, the black currant cocktail was exquisite and definitely worth a try.

Food was good but not worth the price. Great atmosphere though, and the servers do their best to keep you attended during busy services. I would probably recommend a pub in the area over this but you won’t be displeased going here

Wow one of the best restaurants! Great food, fantastic cocktails, amazing atmosphere and superb service! The duck confit pasta is so tender and good flavour. The beef jowl is the best! Can’t compliment it more. The flavour is almost French Asian fusion. Love they really know how to use rosemary and mint in their cocktails and cuisine. Very impressive. Big patio area, and indoor decor is very interesting. We stayed at the hotel above it, so it was super convenient. Also it’s in the centre of old town Quebec, great location. My photos didn’t do justice, was way better presentation.

The taste of the food was the best and of best. However, I didn't understand why they only had tables outside where the sunlight was strong in that hot weather. It would have been better to consider the customer's condition and situation more.

I had the 12 oz steak in medium rare. And I was definitely served for 12 oz steak and in medium rare. One of the best steak in town. The steak is best eaten with their house special sauce. The restaurant has a lot of tables at the inside and outside and it's got a comfy atmosphere. But there is usually a line of people waiting to be seated outside of the restaurant. The servers are slow to accommodate. Oh one more thing. Their kitchen is closed in the afternoon after lunch hours and would be opened again after 5:30 PM. There are only drinks available for order in the hours when their kitchen is closed.

Compact establishment featuring upscale French cuisine & fine wines in a rustic atmosphere.
We put ourselves in the hands of the chefs and staff and had an amazing experience! My wife had the 4 course and I had the 6 course tasting menu, with wine pairings. We came away stuffed and happy. Nothing was bad. The place has a great vibe - casual and friendly, with upbeat music and stunning food. It's not at all stuffy or self-conscious. So many of the seasoning, oils and essences that they use are made from scratch. It's not inexpensive, but worth every penny.

What an amazing experience! If I could give this wonderful restaurant ten stars, I would! To begin with (the most important part in my opinion), the food was spectacular. It truly was the best dining experience I have ever had. My partner and I opted in for the six course and it was a fabulous decision. There is only one chef, and she is fantastic at her job! One of the best waiter experiences I have ever had. Our waiter was extremely well versed in french cuisine, wine, champagne, and all the other drinks this restaurant has to offer. Our waiter was very personable, and you could tell they truly love their job! The experience of this place was absolutely fabulous! I highly recommend!!

An amazing experience at this restaurant! Food, service and atmosphere was 5 stars! Kudos to the chef! We had the 4 course meal and each dish was so flavourful and beautifully presented. It was an incredible dining experience.

Just a little backstory for context. We have not been to an upscale restaurant for years and we love tasting menus. I had researched the restaurant exhaustively and was looking forward to the mystery and excitement of the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing. We were the first people there but they seemed surprised because they were still setting up. Good: The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. The ambiance was quaint and the eclectic and the music was nice. The food was plated perfectly and it was obvious that Chef takes pride in the appearance of her food. Bad = Everything Else Wine: The wine pairings were well extremely small servings. Although they came with a delightful explanation I am pretty sure I heard the same description given for different bottles of wines at another table. One of the bottles still had the orange price sticker on it. In my mind wine pairings should come with the food but the wine came a LONG time before the food pairing at every course. We drank a bottle and a half of water because even sipping slowly the wine would not last until the food. The wine itself was not good and at times sipping was difficult. We even ordered a cocktail midway through just to have something other than water to share. Food: The food was beautiful and their were elements that were tasty but overall the flavors did not meld well and some courses were quite bland. The chef/servers came and announced the next course. Due to the language barrier it was quite difficult to understand. It would have been nice to have a printed version of the menu and wine list in any language to refer too. There were a couple elements I would like to try again but I have no idea what they were. Then at some point they just gave up. The table that came after us and we’re being served at the same time somehow outpaced us and by dessert they were up and gone before we were even served. Service: The server apologized at one point with the excuse that everyone came in at once. With a “reservation only” business model you would think that the restaurant knew when people are coming in. The timing was bad from the beginning and excuses should not have to be made. I think what some restaurants forget is that when you are selling an “experience” you are not just serving food and wine. You should be serving amazing food and wine with perfect service. Especially if you are charging just under $500 dollars Canadian for a meal. I had been so excited for so long that when we walked out sober, hungry and disappointed I almost cried. Sadly my dream of experiencing a romantic once in a lifetime meal in one of the most beautiful cities in the world was dashed. We ended up having a nightcap of gas station wine and potato chips and the whole vibe of the trip was ruined.

Had a fantastic trip to Bleu Marine. Excellent food, and would recommend the wine pairings (we shared a wine pairing). The waiter was very personable and friendly and made us feel very at home. It’s a really great way to eat, to trust the chef to deliver their flavours in their style. The pork belly was exquisite 👌🏼 and one of the best mains I’ve had. Brilliant combination of flavours. Whilst not inexpensive, worth it!

Upscale steak & seafood restaurant with chic, modern design, an ample wine list & a garden patio.
This is without doubt one of the best meal we’ve had at a restaurant. Being a chef myself and food critic blogger for many years…. I place high value on authentic food, from good quality FRESH ingredients. Restaurant Ophelia serves outstanding food, with excellent service. ( The desert we had was unfortunately NOT a New York Cheese Cake 🍰… it was delicious, but not what it is advertised as)

The food at this restaurant is out of this world. I always visit this place when I am in Quebec City. They never fail to impress with their menu. We ordered salmon and it was cooked to perfection. A must visit restaurant if you are ever in the city.

A potential Michelin? It was quite a long wait at the doorstep before staff noticed someone was waiting there. Afterwards, it became an exciting entrance as I went straight behind the curtains opening into the kitchen where staff made a welcoming greeting and then I was ushered straight to my table. The amuse bouche were flavourful but lacked the element to amuse. The mains were filling but nothing extraordinary. They have an interesting mid-course bread refill with three separately served butter flavours perhaps a strategy to allocate space in your tummy. They have a unique play on their petit fours a la buffet which was set at the bar. It was an interesting tasting menu but flavour entertainment needs to be elevated. It was a fun kitchen visit with the whole staff and the chef and managed to sneak a photo with them gladly offered by one of their staff. Michelin Guide needs to come and visit this little restaurant in Quebec City. I've read they've never set foot in the whole of Quebec province. Maybe this'll be their first.

Absolutely loved this place Fine dining “newer” style Great team that seems to really works well together The tasting menu was delicious The wine pairing was a hit or miss we appreciate they journey off the beaten track but still expect the wines to be delicious or at least be enjoyable with the course (referring to the Quebec wines as these were def not our favorites) Also 7 courses is 7 courses with 7 wine pairings unlike other restaurants in town The friandises with the coffee or the cherry on the cake Overall can highly recommend and hope to come back one day

My wife and I had terrific dinner at Laurie Raphaël. I had reserved a table on the terrace, but asked the host for a table inside, due to the gloomy weather. Thankfully, she was able to accommodate us. As a gastronomic restaurant, Laurie Raphaël does not disappoint. Every part of the dining experience is very well thought out and executed. The host led us through the restaurant to our table. Surprisingly, the first part of the restaurant that we entered was the kitchen, where Chef Raphaël Vézina and his Chefs all stopped whatever they were doing and greeted us with a hearty, “Bonsoir!” The entire space is beautiful and modern. After we were seated and enjoying a cocktail, the complete tasting menu was explained to us. My wife and I wanted to enjoy a lighter dinner on the final night of our first ever trip to Vieux-Québec, so we chose the five-course Menu Personnalisé over the full eight-course Expérience Gastronomique. I also chose to have the wine pairings with my meal. The food was terrific; inventive and delicious. We really enjoyed the pairing of cucumber with caviar, and the textures and flavors of the lobster course were fantastic. I only wish that I had been offered some bread to soak up every last bit of the sauce. There were no missteps with any of the dishes, which were all delicious. I’ll post photos. The wines were chosen playfully and from all over the world. I particularly enjoyed the Il Roccolo di Monticelli di Rado, which transported me back to Venice. At first, I worried that the service would be less convivial than I prefer. The staff appeared to have clearly defined roles; some set the table, others delivered the food and others cleared the table. However, there was one gentleman who came by to introduce each course, and showed great humor when I asked him to do it in both English and then French, and, finally, both English and French at the same time. As tourists, the only part of our meal that was lacking was a clear connection between the food and wines to the locality. We travel to eat and experiencing the terroir is important to us. I was hoping for a more clearly Québécois meal. For example, the cheese option for the dessert course was a play on carbonara; a flan of egg, Louis d’Or cheese and guanciale. While the cheese is from Québec, I felt like I was in Rome, instead of Québec. As I said, however, this feeling is particular to us as tourists. As a gastronomic experience, our meal lacked nothing and would stand out anywhere that we have been in the world.

Had a lovely romantic dinner here, the service was superb worthy of 3 Michelin stars. The presentation was excellent and the flavors took you from one end of the spectrum to another in a good way. One bite delights all night with an amazing cocktail selection.

We were lucky to snag a reservation at Chef Raphael Vezina’s restaurant. We ordered the full tasting menu. The whole meal was a great dining experience. The service is unhurried and excellent. Being greeted by the kitchen staff upon entering was an unexpected treat! A bonus was receiving a paper copy of the menu signed by Chef ☺️

Housed in a historic home, this popular spot offers gourmet Quebec cuisine in quaint surrounds.
The atmosphere and vibe is really cool! The food is great. I had dinner set which includes a house wine/ beer, an appetizer, a main course and a dessert. The meat pie is highly recommended. It’s a great balance between the savory of the meat, the flaky crust and the sweet-ish taste of the ketchup on the side. I had the bison bourguignon for the main course and it was delicious but I was hoping the meat to be more tender as it’s a bit dry. For dessert I had the maple pie to go as the portion is pretty generous and I didn’t have room for dessert. However, the service wasn’t that good and I did not feel welcomed. For example, no bread was served at my table while the rest of the tables were. The waiter was trying to rush through my order/service. The waiter helped the other table packed the to go box but just threw the boxes at me and I had to do it myself. I would not think it would be a big deal if I didn’t see how the other guests were treated - well packed and were put in a bags and were ready to do. For me, there is no bags provided and I had to asked for it and was told they may not have bags. It just ruined the whole experience. And that’s after I gave 15% tips…

It was the best meal we had in Quebec City. We ordered soup of the day, grandma’s treat and blueberry pie. We love everything! The soup is simply delicious! A perfect balance of the vegetables flavors. Just the kind of soup I like to drink. We had it with bread. Then it was the main course grandma’s treat with include meat pie, potatoes and meatballs, baked beans, veggies. Everything was so delicious, no crazy flavors just plain good ingredients cooked to perfection! I don’t know how simple looking food with simple tastes can be this delicious! The blueberry pie is also perfect, same as the meat pie which has the perfectly thin soft flaky pie crust! Every bite was perfection. Atmosphere was great! It was quiet, friendly and made me feel comfortable. The history feel of the little house was really nice inside and outside. Love the paintings. Nothing too crazy just like their food everything was done just right! The service was the best too! Love it so much would love to come back next time in Quebec City!

Oh, as a Ukrainian-American I think you must visit this overhyped "tourist trap" they call a restaurant! I mean, who would want excellent service and atmosphere, with background music that doesn't attack your ears? And those wood carvings? Far too tasteful. The food is downright reasonable, focusing on flavor rather than drowning in seasoning. I was absolutely delighted to taste the actual vegetables instead of a seasoning mine. And the meat? Good! What a letdown to have a satisfying meal! And don't even get me started on the desserts! Authentic and simple, just like grandma used to make – how dreadfully delightful. It's almost as if they care about quality ingredients and traditional recipes. So, if you're looking for overcomplicated and artificial sweet treats, you might want to look elsewhere. This place has the audacity to serve delicious, genuine dishes and desserts that remind you of home.

This is a Quebec City classic! I came for the meat pie, which was great, but the pie crusted salmon with lobster sauce was AMAZING! Completely unexpected. And for dessert, the Maple Syrup Pie is an explosion of flavor that you shouldn't go another day without trying.

We were a large group of 7 and had our first meal here when visiting Quebec City. It was very quiet when we visited. The service was friendly and the food was filling. Just what a bunch of tired people need after driving for 4 hours. It was a nice and comfortable meal.
