Laid-back, beach-themed hangout with seafood, sandwiches, local craft beers & a waterfront deck.
This is a great place to come to by car or boat. I have been there twice by boat and they have a great Sunday brunch special. Several skillet meals which are awesome and some of your regular items as well. If you like bloody Mary’s and Mamosa‘s they have an all you can drink option as well great little casual local place. They have great fresh fish for dinner as well but we haven’t made it back for dinner yet but will soon in the future. New Owner… we had a lot of fun and the music was great but please bring back the iron cast skillet meals. The food was very good but we always really love the skillet meals

Little disappointed, the bar was not working inside. My husband beer didn't have Blue Moon, plus his Heineken beer was not ice cold. But the waiter/ customer service was excellent. She was very knowledgeable on every think on the menus. The food was good. Great place for date night plus family night or just a place to come and enjoy the vibes and view.

Cool spot but it was a little dingy and the food was a little lack luster. I have had great food at dive bars but this place was just meh and the food was about the same. It was on the water which was fun with some outdoor entertainment. I would say it would be better to grab cocktails here but they were out of a lot of things.

The place for brunch on the waterway. Service is outstanding, food is cooked to order. Friendly & welcoming. Nikki took great care of us! Adam Finn entertained us with excellent music at the right level (not crazy loud😂). We will recommend & be back soon!

The food was good, our service was excellent. Happy hour drink specials. The lobster was very good.

Hip, industrial eatery serving New American fare, plus wood-fired pizza & cocktails.
Went to The Foundry last night for happy hour/dinner. Really impressed! Featured is the sushi stack, calamari, and short rib flat bread no jalapeños. We also tried the hibiscus margaritas, $6 during happy hour and they are really strong! The restaurant is dog friendly and service was great! Definitely recommend!

Food was very good but the menu seemed very small. I had a burger and it was above average, but there were only a handful of options available. The Parmesan fries and fried calamari are both staples for me and both were up there with the best I’ve had. Service was good, but our server was also very new so not great. Atmosphere, however was awesome. The interior architecture and design was very, very, cool.

I’ve heard great things about The Foundry and finally decided it was time to check it out and it did not disappoint! Just a head up it is paid parking! We visited for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere is great you can dine in or out we dinned in. Our waitress Saskia was a gem! She was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave us great suggestions! To drink I ordered the cucumber martini which was excellent very refreshing, and my friend ordered the strawberry ginger jam margarita it was a little more sour than she expected but still good. We ordered the chicken & waffles and the breakfast burrito bother we’re really good we will definitely be back!

My friend had made a reservation for 4 of us online a week prior and requested a booth. But when we got there, the hosted didn't validate the reservation and sat us on a very uncomfortable table. The chairs were so low and uncomfortable. So when my friend that had made the reservation got there, she requested a manager, and they gave us the booth that was literally empty to accommodate us. Greg, the manager, was very accommodating. We came in for brunch and the unlimited mimosas. We order different things, and we're satisfied. For the most part, one of the girls ordered a salad with grilled chicken, but the chicken smelled like sweaty socks 🤢. Our server was rushing us towards the end, which felt a little rude. But I'm giving this place because another server that was not ours named Marc. He kept checking on us and making sure we got what we needed, and his vibe was so on point. He could probably tell that the other server was not doing her job properly, and he picked up her slack as a great team player. Overall, we had a good time. The salad she had was removed from the check. The eggplant meatballs were good, the mister fish bowl too, salmon avocado toast too. And the French toast were the bomb.

An extra large space with lots of different seating areas. Made it in for happy hour and enjoyed $6 margarita. I chose the steak special and it was so good. Staff are friendly and attentive. Finished with delicious donuts and like a coffee gelato/mousse dessert. Had a very nice time.

Bustling trattoria produces traditional Italian favorites from pastas to seafood in tiny quarters.
We had a great experience with John as our server. We had chicken parmigiana and eggplant parmigiana as well as an amazing dessert. Everything was tasty and well prepared and to be honest we had to take half of our dinner home as the portions were enormous. Can’t wait to go back again.

I went to Gianni’s Italian Restaurant in Pompano Saturday night with another couple. I have eaten there a few times and this restaurant never disappoints. It was packed as usual but we only waited for about 10 minutes. The service was great. The food is outstanding. Huge portions that probably can be shared. Three of us had the chicken parmigiana which was delicious and it comes with your choice of pasta and a wedge salad with a homemade dressing. Our friend had the veal Marsala which was loaded with mushrooms and he said it was excellent. I forgot to mention the garlic rolls and the homemade bread that was amazing as well. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is such a treat.

Amazing food!! Good wine offerings by the waitress, attentive staff, and most of all amazing food. The garlic knots alone are worth coming back for. The house salad was also a must!! And both dishes we had were amazing.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. My parents and I were searching for a place and came across Gianni's just thinking would be a regular Italian experience....we were wrong. First, what a charming well designed spot! You truly feel in Italy with all wine bottles as decoration and Italian songs as a background. Second, the service is exceptional! A blond lady took care of our order and she explained the whole menu for us and gave us a suggestion to try the ricotta cheesecake which is made in the same day and I can assure was one of the best cheesecake I've ever tried in my life. My mom and I ordered eggplant parmigiana and my dad pasta with shrimp, which was cooked to the perfection. It is a bit pricey, but worth it every penny. Perfect spot for a romantic date or family gathering. Seriously, don't hesitate to visit that place!

Delicious family style Italian cuisine. The garlic rolls were some of the best I’ve ever had and the overall quality of the food is amazing. You can tell this restaurant has been a local favorite for many years.

Casual, open-air restaurant on the beach serving breakfast & pub grub, plus cocktails, wine & beer.
Lively, tasty food, family/-friendly with great views of the ocean - this is the place to be! My teenage son found this gem during a family trip for a tennis tournament and it was amazing. The Tuna Poke Nachos had fresh ingredients and the mango salsa was delicious. Highly recommend the Island Chopped Salad - the wonton chips added the perfect crunch. The dressing was tasty but careful it is spicy. We got Chicken Tenders and blackened fish taco too. It was all finger-licking delicious. Service was really good for a crowded afternoon. It was so good that we even ordered the Gigantic Ice Cream sandwich dessert. The cookies could be smaller and thinner and it needs more ice cream. But the homemade flavor still makes it yummy! Don’t walk but run to this restaurant!! Highly recommend

If you are looking for a lively party ambience (crowd, music, beach location & great views of the sea), this could be a good choice for you. The most striking is it's location and sea views, price and above all, great service (atleast from what we got). Food is just ok and drinks seem a little over-priced but I guess you pay for the ambience and location too. If loud music and crowd is not your cup of tea, it might be better to look elsewhere. Overall, a nice hang-out joint, on the beach and just by the Pompano Pier. I will surely go back.

Great location with superb views on the beach. The food is great and not expensive. 9$ for a plate of two big tacos. Music is just loud enough so you can have a conversation. There are multiple areas where you can eat. We chose a remote table on the pier side but you can choose to sit at the bar in the middle. Would recommend this restaurant for any mid day snack or a full evening meal!

I highly recommend the tuna nachos!! The scenery is fabulous! Ask for Paige, the best server we had the whole trip. Actually Rose was just as fabulous! 🥰 The bearded Iguana is a great dinner companion

We asked the wait staff what they were best known for and she said the tuna nachos. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! There were people in our party that had never had tuna and they were sold. We had it almost every day we were here. The atmosphere is great, it is literally open air and right on the beach. The wait staff were very accommodating.

Caribbean-style seafood, Jamaican jerk & curry dishes star at this casual cafe in a strip mall.
Wonderful experience! Julio provided top-notch service and has incredible patience. We tried the conch chowder (red), cracked and fried conch, chicken curry, stamp and go (Jamaican salt cod patties) and pigeon peas and rice. Everything was perfect and delicious! Such a good menu- we will have to go back to try more things!

Calypso was a restaurant that was a pleasure to eat at some of the best tasting food I’ve ever had. The way they cooked The Pompano fish was delicious. Their muscles were seductive, and the service was pretty great too. The overall atmosphere was very interesting as it’s in a very large plaza that’s not the nicest but they’ve done a great job on the inside with the decor giving you a real island, vibe and theme. All of the their dishes have a lot of Caribbean influence, that make them very delicious although I can’t tell whether or not it’s authentic maybe that’s a good thing. I wish their crowd was a bit more diverse art things considered but overall, I think this place provided a great experience. another Ron Smith, Review, Pompano, Beach, Calypso .

This hole in wall impressed me with their meals!! Did appetizers, entree and dessert. I will be back for more! Spicy cucumbers had scotch bonnet sauce which was kind of spicy. I used it to dip my conch instead of in clarified butter. For non-pepperheads, it’s as hot as habaneros.

I’ve passed by Calypso several times and it’s always busy. So after reading reviews I decided to check this place out and I’m so glad I did. This is a hidden little gem if you’re looking for seafood in Pompano. I read great things about the conch chowder, which I haven’t tried before, so I started with a cup of that. As another Yelper mentioned it was more like a vegetable soup with a flavorful broth and a few small pieces of conch. BUT I love soup and flavorful broth so this was the perfect starter for me. It reminded me of a place I went to in Cabo where they served a small fish broth soup before the main course came out. It was a nice way to get my palate ready for the next course. I ordered a lunch portion of the Yellowtail Snapper and, man, I highly recommend the jerk seasoning. The spice and texture of the seasoning cut right through to bring out the freshness of the fish which was cooked perfectly. I orders cole slaw as my side which was a nice, tangy and crunchy compliment to the seasoned fish. Such a simple and delicious meal! The interior is updated and beach-themed. It’s cute and quaint. The staff were friendly and helpful and I cannot wait to return so I can try other dishes from their selection.

Great local bite! Friendly servers and cheerful and clean atmosphere. Reasonable prices and my sis and I had a very enjoyable lunch. The bar had a lively crowd and most of the tables were filled but we were seated quickly and efficiently. Our orders arrived without delay and our server was personable, knowledgeable and was super pleasant and helpful. It felt very welcoming overall and I was very impressed by the restaurant’s no weekend hours policy as a courtesy to their staff and their families. It was worth it to make the weekday trip. We tried the cod fritter lunch special with rice and pigeon peas , served along refreshing house made sauce and ripe tomato slice and crisp green leaf lettuce. My sis had the cracked conch, lightly breaded and fried. It was exemplary and our server offered mustard sauce which was also exceptional. Potato salad can be pedestrian, but this one was well seasoned and with a nice onion kick, not too heavily dressed. Definitely will return.

Fish dishes & cocktails are offered at this surfside spot with weekend live music & big-screen TVs.
Great place right on the beach. Atmosphere is nice n quite. Service was great. Food was mediocre, really lacked any seasoning but okay. I had the scallops and my son had a cheeseburger. Pic of scallops was already half eaten.

Nice restaurant with nice views, Clean, And very nice staff, Although our waitress was a bit overwhelmed being the only server at lunch time she kept up as best she could and no complaints. My wife got the flounder sandwich which was more than she could eat and was priced very reasonable, I got the pecan snapper that I personally was not very happy with for the very pricey cost . Double my wife's meal . The snapper was very thin and crunchy. Not much fish . But live and learn, I would not order it again, My Drink was dead on wonderful. I would go again. I would recommend them. Plus the drink prices are very good compared to other restaurants. I really enjoyed mine . It actually had alcohol in it and made perfectly, The Hostess was on top of everything,

Went here on a BUSY Saturday evening. The restaurant was packed. However, we were seated right away. Mike was our server. He is AWESOME, ask for him. Everyone here works together to make sure all the guests are happy. The food came out in a timely manner and was DELICIOUS. This restaurant has a nice relaxing atmosphere with pool and beach views included.

Our Sunday lunch 🥗 was enjoyed at The Seaside Grill. We started out with fire 🔥 jerk shrimp as our appetizer. The jerk cream sauce was amazing ! So amazing, we ordered extra garlic bread to dip it in . We didn’t want to waste a drop of it ! We followed with fish Mahi tacos and crab stuffed Mahi with a perfectly cooked sweet potato. Mmm !! Everything was so yummy ! Dessert was their chocolate peanut butter cake . That topped it off ! Our server , Fred was funny and friendly making our experience even better ! Great place to eat in Pompano Beach !

IMPORTANT DETAILS GOOD: Nearly everything - service, food quality and quantity. The atmosphere is tasteful and relaxed BAD: Nothing really - the prices aren't cheap but fair for what you get Houston's was a gem. Our server was wonderful and the food was well cooked and delicious. I had a wonderful, large NY strip and the other diner had the pork chop and mash. Pork can be easily overdone for instant leather - not here, very juicy. The open kitchen adds further class and style to the experience. I'd advise a reservation to avoid a lengthy wait.

This was not our first time there. This time it was for a business luncheon. The food & drinks were just right to taste, to appearance and to our satisfaction. That was refreshing on a hot summer’s day. The hostess and the server were excellent and were tipped accordingly. Our server did what she could within her capacity as a lower level worker. Any downsides we blame the management for. Your lower level workers work too hard for your management to conduct themselves so incompetently with certain customers. What we were uncomfortable with was the amount of times management hovered over us. Couldn’t we have dined in peace without unsolicited overseers? Simply uncomfortable, too many other dining establishments in the area to frequent and choose from. We won’t be returning to this specific wanna-be fine dining eatery. The management could reflect on how to be more unassuming and more welcoming to all clientele, regardless of outer appearance. You never know who can refer a plethora of customers to your business. Your loss.

My first visit was exquisite. From the valet to the host upon arrival, we knew we made a great choice. The atmosphere was intimate and friendly. We loved the kitchen layout. It shows a level of confidence when preparing food for all to admire. And, Oh yes, this foodie was living. The pacing of our server was on point. We had time to enjoy every bite, have conversation, sip, and savor our meal. You've created another regular.

We went to Houston's by recommendation. We started with the artichoke appetizer, it was SO good and the sauce was perfect! My husband and I shared the Hawaiian Ribeye with a baked potatoes and we added fresh cream corn. We split it and still had enough left over for a take home plate. The steak had the most amazing flavor my taste bud's were doing a huge happy dance! The cream corn, you could taste the freshness in it and I even got a piece of silt from the shuck, I didn't mind it showed how off fresh off the Cobb it truly was!! We were seated inside looking put into the canal and able to see the boats coming and going. Hpuaton's was very busy and the back porch stayed packed with people waiting on the sidewalk to be seated. They had a bar outside on the back porch that stayed busy. Granted we were here during Memorial Day Weekend, however I'm guessing Houston's stays busy during the summer. FYI you can't make a reservation for outside but can for inside! We called the afternoon of the day before and we're able to get an early reservation. They have complimentary Valet service. People were dressed up and some just in shorts and Tshirt.
