What a gem of a find, run single handedly by Victor who's got a long history of great food. Very welcoming and incredibly reasonable on price, where else can you get 3 courses, cooked by an award winning chef for £20?

Had a late lunch with my partner. The food was excellent and good value for money with the main course served at table all fresh ingredients and full of flavour. Hope to return next time in Lincoln.

Really, a lovely traditional restaurant. Excellent value, and down to earth food. Everything made fresh, not pre-prepared. The chef has over 40 years experience running the restaurant. As long as you don't expect nouvelle cuisine, you won't be disappointed. Strongly recommended.

The food was really nice. the restaurant environment look like my grandparents home. I strongly recommendation the house wine, i tried house red wine and house white wine, it's so nice. I will back again! But remember, DON'T BE LATE

Super welcoming staff with a warm Italian atmosphere. Very convenient for a quick bite at lunch. Clean and bright inside, comfortable seating and a nice view of the street outside. Decent sized menu with lots to show, including a 2 course offer. Plentiful food portions and excellent value for money, will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Called in here after attending a service at the Cathedral on a Saturday lunchtime. I had homemade chicken and leek pie and chips. It was delicious although I personally would of liked the pastry top to be less flaky was a little bit like paper. If it was a little thicker would have mopped up the delicious creamy sauce better. All in all we would go back.

Lovely atmosphere and the food was amazing! Really good to have more than one vegan choice, and the vegan food was very tasty. The 2 course offer is great value too. Overall, I would highly recommend.

The place looks nice, and it's in a nice area, once you hike up the hill. Lol. We had the full rack of ribs, which were nice but small and lacking in meat. TGI Fridays ribs are far better. Wished I'd tried the pasta meals as they looked superb.

Went for the food, fell in love with the building :-D A truly magnificent place. Honestly, an incredibly impressive building which no meal can compete with, but they did their utmost. Super friendly and attentive hosts there and the food as lovely as always, with plenty of options for veggie and gluten free desires./

Squeezed us in, even on graduation day! Food was great, service too. Really nice to find decent non alcoholic cocktails on the menu. This used to be the corn exchange and the building is just stunning. Will be back!

Have a very enjoyable evening and meal. The restaurant is really well decorated. A real feel of the 1930s with a modern twist. The service was very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent. The sea bass was beautifully cooked. The tropical mess desert was delicious.

Despite not having a reservation, the helpful team found a table for two for my wife and I on graduation week too. Lovely building, great staff and reliable, quality food. Will definitely be going back

Worth dining here simply to see the majestic room, formerly the Corn exchange with period details such as wall advertising and wall paper. The brunch menu has a huge choice and the food is pretty good

12th-century stone building with low-beamed, intimate dining room for a modern and creative menu.
The food is the Best in Lincoln, service was nice, and atmosphere was ok but little bit loud.

Both me and my friend have eaten at Michelin star restaurants and the Jews house eclipsed them in terms of:service, friendliness, atmosphere and the food. Samantha is very friendly and indulged all my questions about wine and was very informative about the food and clearly incredibly passionate. Excellent wine, beautiful food and incredibly friendly owner and staff! If you’re in Lincoln indulge yourself and go to the Jews house.

Stayed to celebrate in Lincoln just for one night, so we wanted something special. We had high expectations, and that place still overdelivered. The portions are very interesting, but also substantial. You won't leave hungry, I promise. Sorbet was the name of the game. Horseradish sorbet, coriander sorbet, melon sorbet. Absolutely amazing. The service was very friendly, but extremely precise. Overall, immensely enjoyed the visit. Probably the best dinner we've had in the UK this year.

Absolutely sensational food, some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Samantha and Gavin do an excellent job of bringing dishes together, making the dining experience unforgettable in the best possible way. Service: Brilliant - Food: Truly exceptional.

Located in a beautiful 12th century stone house on the famous Steep Hill, I was told this is arguably the best restaurant in Lincoln. Based on my experience, I won't be the one disputing that. I absolutely loved it! It is sympathetically restored and beautifully decorated. Modern additions of light stained framewood contrasts with the much older darker beams. The white painted ceiling between the beams and white walls brightens the place, but not too much, just enough, as it is combined with rich ochre and exposed stone walls. The palette of rich, bold ochre and red colours continues in the choice of materials, the velvet chairs and wall sitting area wonderfully complementing the darker wood of the tables. At the same time, the dimmed lighting provided by the lamps carefully positioned, almost requires a few minutes for your eyes to get used to it and take it all in. It is then, when sitting at the table that one can really appreciate the beauty of the place: stylish, upmarket, very elegant and classy, almost with a feel of a stately home. The way in, through a narrow and low ceiling side passage, is wonderfully quirky and totally belies what is to come. It almost has a theatrical way about it, opening into the compact entrance where you are met by the superb Samantha and staff. The food is absolutely delicious. I went all fishy on the day: cornish turbot as starter and seabass as main. I loved the imagination of some of the elements on the plate and the combination of flavours and textures, as well as the presentation. I chose the strawberry n elderflower jelly dessert on the day, with champagne consommé, white chocolate mousse and a rapsberry sorbet. Sweetness and acidity perfectly balanced and a fitting end to a wonderful meal. The atmosphere is great, very relaxed, so much so that I established easy conversation with some of the dinners, some regular customers driving over an hour to come to this restaurant as, according to them, it is not only the best restaurant in Lincoln but one of the very best in the area. And if you are into wine, fear not, the wine list is extensive and Samantha's knowledge phenomenal. A beautiful restaurant with delicious food, great staff and exceptional service. Unmissable!

Tapas and paella, plus Iberian beers and wines served in cosy Spanish bar/restaurant with garden.
Exceptional tapas! Everything we had was delicious and the service was fantastic. Blue cheese croquettes and the tortilla was up there with best we’ve tried anywhere. It was so busy even for an early sitting in October so ensure you book! Highly recommended!

WOW WOW WOW! We came over this place just looking on the Internet at places to eat in Lincoln. We decided we would have lunch here and booked a table for 1pm. They did not answer so left a voice message and they contacted me the next day to confirm the booking. We had 4 tapas between two of us and that was more than enough for us we certainly left full. The food was amazing tasted out of this world and cooked to perfection. They also have a specials board for the day which had rabbit on so I had this and it did not disappoint. If your looking for somewhere to go and love tapas then this is the place to be.

Had a Birthday Meal here as we have heard good things about this place and thought we would give it a go. It's not the kind of place we would normally book as tapas doesn't really appeal to us. So glad we went! The food is so delicious and full of flavour! Every course of our meal was delicious and we will definitely be going again! The service and atmosphere were also great! Can't fault our experience at all. If you are on the fence of booking, just give it a go. You will not be disappointed!

We had a very enjoyable dinner here a few days back. The restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated, but it can get quite loud and busy during the evenings. The food was very nice overall, although some dishes could have been more flavourful. The desserts in particular were to die for. Although this is a tapas place, the portions are quite generous and filling, so I would stick with the recommended 2-3 dishes/person if ordering individually.

Olé Olé Tapas Bar & Restaurant is a gem of a tapas restaurant that never fails to delight. The moment you step in, you're greeted with a lively, welcoming ambience that sets the perfect tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff's warmth and professionalism add an extra touch of charm, ensuring every visit feels like a special occasion. No matter how busy the restaurant is, you feel well looked after! As for the sangria, it's a tantalising blend of fruits and wine that effortlessly complements the enticing flavours of the tapas. When it comes to the food, each dish is a masterpiece, brimming with authentic Spanish flavours and prepared with meticulous attention to detail. From the savoury patatas bravas to the succulent gambas al ajillo, every bite is a testament to the chef's expertise in traditional Spanish cuisine. The desserts were phenomenal and it was hard to choose what to have. We had the best night and can't wait to go again soon!

Bar & restaurant chain serving prime rib, steaks & other pub standards in a sports-themed setting.
‘The’ best place to eat for ribs without question. The ribs are never dry, but are tender, and fall off the bone. The downside is that they are slightly expensive, and the chips and peas are just average. Coleslaw is average (dry) but it’s acceptable. Burgers are average in my opinion. Onion loaf is nice and worth it. The hot bread you used to get at the start has been replaced (with what looks to be a flower topped supermarket roll). As other reviews say, the restaurant is extremely dated and not changed for decades, but maybe this part of the experience. More of a cafe than a restaurant. Can get noisy at times. Good for a family ‘slap up’ meal, but not really for couples on a night out.

We ordered pork chops, jacket potatoes and the ribs from the menu. The food was amazing, very tasty indeed and you could you tell it had been freshly prepared. From placing our order to being served it was very fast turnaround. Free ample parking which was a bonus. The restaurant looks amazing with the old 50's American diner vibe. The restaurant and the toilet facilities were immaculately clean. Highly recommended and worth a visit if you are in the area. 10/10.

Our visit was very positive and we really enjoyed it . My son had told us that it wasn’t very good lately and he’d been a couple of weeks before . Also other people had been and it wasnt good and apparently closing ?! We debated on whether to go or not but pleased we decided to go . It was a very busy Thursday evening , table booked for 7.45 . We had the teriyaki chicken wings for starters , which were very tasty and juicy. For mains , my partner had a full rack of bbq ribs and chips which were delicious. I had chicken tenders and a quarter roast chicken in bbq sauce and jacket potato. The chicken was cooked beautifully, moist and tender . All followed by a slice of the raspberry crème brûlée cheesecake. We had a lovely evening and really enjoyed our meal . Very pleased we went in the end .

We had food in the evening here, my partner had gammon and she said it was beautiful, I had the ribs and chicken breast combo. The ribs was to die for so melt in the mouth and the chicken was very nice also which I shared of course. The drinks what we had, sorry for the bad pictures didn't really think to take some till after, was nice and well made. Tried to to the waiter but as we had no cash I asked him to put some money on the bill but he didn't do this unfortunately. We spent the evening in the motel and had as really nice night in one of their hot tub suites. I'm the morning we went and had breakfast her and everything was nice, except the sausages, with them being so much into cooking meat I thought they was very out of place and some 'proper butcher sausages' would of been better. That is the only thing that stops this from being a 5* all rounder. Will defiantly visit again and bring our children next time as this was our anniversary. Thank you for such as memorable time.

Food was mediocre and a bit disappointing following people's recommendations to eat there. My teriyaki chicken was tasty and a good amount, however none of my family enjoyed or ate many of the bland, dry and unappetising chips. The ribs appeared to go down well in general which were mainly tender but my son said bits of his were chewy in comparison to the other two portions of ribs my family had. The onion loaf was not Crispy but quite greasy and tasteless. Cocktails were half price given the time of day we visited and tasted good. Service was excellent and waiting and bar staff all very attentive. The menu could do with a change in layout as we felt it wasn't very easy to navigate for starters, mains and desserts.

All-vegan eats with Nepalese & British origins, served in a comfy, elaborately decorated setting.
We visited on a Monday lunch time with no need to book. We had the two curry dishes which were tasty and the mac n cheese balls which were really good! Lovely to have a choice of different vegan hot chocolates, smoothies and milkshakes. A lot of choice on the menu. The two ladies working were attentive and polite. Maybe the place lacked a bit of atmosphere but that's only because it was quiet in there. Great to have an all vegan restaurant!

We absolutely love Cafe Shanti, fabulous food, super friendly staff and service and all at a good price. We always visit when we're in Lincoln, best Vegan food around. Definitely recommend Cafe Shanti even if you're not vegan, you won't be disappointed!

Even if you're not vegan, give this cafe a try, the food is delicious 😋. There's a good selection of snacks, mains, desserts and drinks. There's a good selection of ice cream, I've tried 2 flavours and they are delicious. Last time I tried the tofu tikka and it was delicious, it came with a nan bread, poppadom and mango chutney. This time I had the chilli, delicious too. The service is fast and friendly. The portions are a good size and the prices are very reasonable. I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the menu!

Always welcoming to everyone and such a lovely place to stop and have some really tasty food. The atmosphere is beautiful, food always tastes great, and lots of choice so there's always something new to try! Wonderful cakes each week to look forward to!

Such a cute, cosy, boho atmosphere here and very reasonably priced! I ordered the Mac and Cheeze Balls and a coconut iced latte (pretty sure they do most mull alternatives) and both were delicious. I loved the Balls as they’re something different and unique, as most Vegan Restaurants solely do just burgers it’s nice for a different option. Staff are lovely and friendly as always, really accommodating and friendly environment. Will definitely be returning h for more of their ice cream and another coffee.
